HOW TO MAKE BOUNTY BARS?
Make the coconut filling: combine the shredded coconut and sweetened condensed milk in a bowl and mix until well combined. The mixture should be sticky and easy to roll into balls. If it is too dry, you can add a little more condensed milk until you get the right consistency.
Mash the coconut filling in a square pan and refrigerate it for at least 30 minutes.
Cut rectangles of coconut and round them like the real bounty chocolate.
Melt chocolate: Melt the semisweet chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl or over a double boiler.
Dip each coconut bar in the chocolate: Once the chocolate is melted and smooth, dip each coconut bar one at a time into the chocolate. Use a fork to lift the bar out of the chocolate, and gently tap the fork on the bowl’s side to remove any excess chocolate.
Refrigerate: Place the coated bars back onto the parchment paper and return the baking sheet to the fridge to set the chocolate.
Decorate: Optional: Drizzle a small amount of chocolate over the top for decoration.

Sweetened condensed milk: This is a thick, sweet milk that is made by reducing regular milk and adding sugar to it. It is used in this recipe to bind the coconut together and give the Bounty Bars a creamy, rich flavor.
Semisweet chocolate: This is a type of chocolate that is made with a combination of cocoa solids, cocoa butter, and sugar. It has a balanced flavor that is not too sweet and not too bitter, and it is used in this recipe to coat the coconut mixture and give the Bounty Bars their signature chocolate flavor.

EQUIPMENT NOTES
Baking sheet: You will need a baking sheet to place the coconut balls on while they are chilling in the fridge. Look for a baking sheet that is sturdy and has a smooth surface, as this will make it easier to remove the bars from the sheet once they are chilled.
Parchment paper: It is a good idea to line the baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent the bars from sticking to the sheet. Parchment paper is also easy to clean and will help to keep your baking sheet in good condition.
Square pan: You will need a square pan to mash the coconut filling in and refrigerate.
Bowl: You will need a bowl to mix the coconut and sweetened condensed milk together. Any size bowl will work, as long as it is large enough to hold all of the ingredients.
Microwave-safe bowl or double boiler: You will need a microwave-safe bowl or a double boiler to melt the chocolate. A microwave-safe bowl is the easiest option, as it allows you to melt the chocolate in the microwave in just a few minutes. If you don’t have a microwave, you can use a double boiler instead.
Forks: You will need a couple of forks to help you coat the coconut bars in chocolate. Look for forks that are sturdy and have long tines, as this will make it easier to lift the balls out of the chocolate and tap off any excess.
These are the main pieces of equipment that you will need to make this recipe for Bounty Bars. With these tools on hand, you will be well-equipped to create a delicious batch of these tasty treats.
